All those at a recent children’s farm Birthday Party had an unexpected treat on Sunday, when their day out coincided with Snoopy, the Saddleback pig, giving birth.
For mum Snoopy, this was her 2nd litter of cute piglets for children to see. For dad, Tucker the Tamworth pig, however, this was especially exciting as he is a first time dad! Extremely cute, the piglets are mainly black with a Saddleback pink stripe around their middle and some also have the Tamworth nose. The new arrivals can currently be seen in the pig sty and through the Tea Room window, until they go outside to play in the sunshine in a couple of weeks time.
On a day out at Odds Farm Park, children can also get really close to fully grown pigs in a new children’s activity, Eggs and Bacon. First feed the friendly pigs their evening supper, then walk across the childrens farm to the hen coop to put the chickens to bed.
Odds Farm Park is a Hands-On Childrens Farm, easily reached from North London, West London, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. For more information to plan a day out, visitors should call 01628 520188 or visit www.oddsfarm.co.uk.
